River Information brochure: Recreational users are some of the consumers of the forecast products of the Alaska River Forecast Center. The RFC provides a River Information brochure which provides a rough guideline for translating observed river stages on selected rivers and streams into a whitewater class.
Trip Report Feedback: In addition to providing this data for commonly floated rivers, the RFC would like to hear from you, the rafters, kayakers and other recreational stream users! It is not possible to obtain regular river stage observations for all of the frequently used streams in Alaska's vast area. Therefore, we provide a space for you to give us information and observations from your recent trips, so that we are better informed regarding conditions on rivers for which we don't have regular observations, allowing us to provide better, more current information to the community of recreational river users.
